Montana

I had the best trip to Montana to visit my old pals. First I stayed in Missoula. Rory and I wore our awesome crocs and I drank a lot of coffee and beer and smiled my face off spending time with Rory, Jaime, Colin and Lauren. Missoula is breathtaking. I understand why my friends moved there but I am still sad they are so far away.

I feel deeply in love with Clyde's Coffee.

Rory and Jaime and I road tripped to Lolo hot springs. It was weird but in a totally good way.

Colin and Rory are adorable.

This is  maybe the best photo of Rory ever and this restaurant in Butte was also maybe the best.

Rory and I road tripped to Livingston next. We went to the very best hot springs of all time in Bozeman. How can you top the perfection of Bozeman hostpings? Maybe by listening to a ska band and watching the lunar eclipse while you're there.

Here we are at our cabin airbnb in Livingston. It was breathtaking. I won't even try to explain it because I won't be able to put into words exactly how quiet and beautiful it was.

Rory and I went on a 100 mile hike to this waterfall. It was a black diamond level expert hike. Most people are not strong enough to do the hike we did. It even started raining while we hiked. We had to climb trees and crawl on our knees under difficult trail conditions. Good thing we are very strong and basically hiking gods. We found the waterfall. It was worth it. We hiked back and went to Chico Hot Springs and drank frozen margaritas to celebrate our power.

Tom and Jenny had me over for dinner when I got back to Missoula. They have the most adorable house and kitty and food but nothing is more adorable than these two old friends of mine <3

Rufus is the best dog.

Harold is the best cat (probably due to his daily handsome pills).

RORY!!! Thank you for having the vacation of a lifetime with me. You are the best travel partner and friend a person could ever ask. JAIME thank you for taking good care of me and loving Rory and coming into my life. COLIN, LAUREN, TOM and JENNY please let's be friends forever and see more of each other soon. We didn't get nearly enough time together but wow it sure did fill my heart all the way up.

Baja 2022

The gang's all here! This was Sarah's birthday. We celebrated by making Pizza in Jane & Dave's pizza oven.

Josh enjoying what Bowie called the "hot pots".

We visited the restored mining town of El Triunfo where we explored the cobblestone roads and the mining museum.

Dave collects puffer fish and bits of driftwood that have washed onto the beach and paints them into delightful creatures. Here are a few cool ones hanging in the cactus.

Cocos friyos. Yum!

This wet suit really came in handy. We called it Bowie's "dolphin skin".

We took a surprise overnight trip to the capital of Baja; La Paz.

The view from the rooftop of our hotel in La Paz.

The paella man getting our lunch ready in El Triunfo.

Bowie's FAVORITE part of the vacation was snorkeling.
