Our Christmas Tree

While we were at the Christmas tree farm we picked up this little beauty. Behold! Our Christmas tree.

Announcement Photos

So it's true. Josh and I are expecting our new person on June 27, 2014. We thought it would be fun to combine an announcement with our annual Christmas card photos. We have a holiday tradition of having a fight over our card photo so we thought we would splurge this year and have somebody else take the photos. My good friend Toni is branching out with her own photography business called "Doodle Love". We met her and her photo assistant/boyfriend Dave (the genius behind our wedding photos) at a Christmas tree farm in Lake Elmo to get our photo on. Below are the results.

A little weekend getaway

Josh and I took a couple of days off work for some R&R. We hung out at our family cabin on Shell Lake in Wisconsin. We managed to get away during the very brief period of the year in the middle of summer and autumn. We brought all of the essentials: the portable record player, lots of records, a guitar, a million magazines, DVDs (True Blood and The Hobbit), snacks and wine. We also made time to canoe, mini golf and visit the deer park.

#loreandlukegettingmarried

I am so excited for the Lulo wedding next weekend. We celebrated Lauren's bridal shower this afternoon at Sea Salt. Here are a few pictures of us gals loving Lolo and preparing for the festivities to come:

This is some expert cake decorating.

The finest in bench carvings.

You know it's a lady party when there are purses involved.

Super awkward hug.

Food dreams do come true at Sea Salt.

Passing of the "torch"

Once worn by Luke.

Even though I have a fancy new digital camera I still have mad love for film photography. Here are some favorites from the last two rolls of film I had developed. It's a great feeling to open the package of photos and find memories that I'd already forgotten or find a photo that you weren't quite sure about actually turned out great. Most of my photos turned out great  *my scanner is not so great *here are some of my most favorites.
